Ian’s experience in the catering industry began when he was just 16-years-old, when he started working at a five-star hotel and thoroughly enjoyed his experience there. Bringing his experience in sales, training and development and accounts to Alset Partners, there is little that Ian doesn’t know about the foodservice sector. Providing management consultancy, talent acquisition and training and development services, both of Ian and Richard’s combined industry knowledge allows them to make the perfect team in helping catering businesses grow, and providing the ideal solution for any issue.
Joining the catering industry at the age of 23, Richard started out working for a catering disposables business in London. From there, he knew he wanted to pursue a career in the foodservice industry. A couple of years later, Richard began to look at sales and marketing in a different light when he held his first sales director position in which he managed a team of recruits, Since then, Richard has been involved in all aspects and facets of the sector and has worked in light, heavy and capital equipment sales and most recently in catering design projects. Working in all of these areas has given Richard a unique insight into the catering sector, and has allowed him to see the best way to work with a team, both internally and externally.
